Meet Our Founders
Since 2006, we have provided Biblical counseling to promote spiritual well-being and healing based on the common call of all mankind to be transformed into God’s image and reap the benefits of a new life. Our counseling integrates stories, personal testimony, Holy Spirit-led revelation, and the word of God to unveil powerful truth and provide a life-changing, healing experience.
John R. Murphy, MTT, IOP, DNP
John’s work was born out of his radical conversion from a “table-pounding atheist” at the age of 26 and his subsequent life of seeking to understand God’s Truth, applying it to his own life, and using it to help others.
John’s work has been endorsed, featured, adopted and recommended by a wide variety of churches and faith-based ministries as well as business and non-profit leaders. Its unique effectiveness has been demonstrated in general discipleship in the body of Christ, men’s ministry, and faith-based recovery programs that target the addicted and incarcerated. Since founding Rock House Center, John has worked with and presented to many interested groups including pastors, CEO’s of large corporations, men’s and women’s ministries, small business leaders, teenagers seeking answers, men and women in recovery, churches, prisoners in maximum security and more. John is a frequent speaker including the three day conference he led on Heart Transforming Leadership to 700 pastors in Nairobi, Kenya.
John’s priority is working with people in one-on-one Biblical counseling sessions and to further develop Rock House Center’s capacity and effectiveness in applying Biblical Truth in a way that generates profound sustained life change for clients. Previous to founding Rock House Center, he had a successful career developing and launching revenue growth strategies for public companies.

Beth L. Murphy, MTT, IOP, DNP
Beth Murphy partners with her husband John in facilitating the larger vision of Rock House Center’s mission to bring differentiation to the Body of Christ by providing Biblical counseling and programs for individuals and leaders seeking greater well-being and life purpose through their faith.
Beth oversees the hiring and training of new counselors and partners with John to develop new applications of Motive Transition Therapy®. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing Rock House Center’s healing strategies and methods since 2006.
Beth and John partnered in church-based marriage ministry as well as freedom prayer and inner healing ministries for several decades prior to the founding of Rock House Center. It was through their collaboration as volunteer counselors in a men’s residential rehabilitation program that they first understood and developed the foundations of Biblical, transformational healing.
Before dedicating herself full-time to her passion at Rock House Center, Beth’s life endeavors encompassed multiple roles throughout different seasons. Her widely varied life experiences include: senior management positions focused on company turnarounds and stay-at-home mom, interspersed with management consulting and home-schooling for her and John’s now adult sons. Throughout each of these seasons, she has enjoyed speaking and teaching Biblical truth to women’s groups as well as counseling one-on-one. Beth’s ministry with women has focused on facilitating their transformative relationship with God through application of Biblical wisdom to every aspect of their lives.
